Our Process

“A dog’s love is gentle, constant, and unspoken. A quiet promise shared between two hearts that choose each other every day.”
Bringing a puppy into your life is not just a purchase. It is the beginning of a relationship that may last well over a decade. Because of that, we approach every placement thoughtfully and carefully.
Over the past 20 years, English Manor Labradoodles has built a trusted reputation throughout New Jersey. Many of our litters reserve quickly, and a large number of our puppies go to returning families or personal referrals. It is one of the greatest compliments we receive.
Our goal is simple. We want every puppy to grow up in the right home, and every family to welcome the companion that fits their lifestyle beautifully.

Let’s Talk First!

Before anything else, we like to speak directly with potential families.

This is not a quick transaction. We believe it is important to understand your home, lifestyle, and expectations before placing one of our puppies. Sometimes, we even advise families if the breed may not be the best match.

If everything feels like a good fit, we will invite you to complete a Puppy Application.

Securing Your Spot

Once your application is approved, a $500 deposit secures your place on the reservation list for an upcoming litter.
We accept only a limited number of deposits per litter, ensuring every family has a fair selection opportunity.
Your deposit does not guarantee an immediate puppy. Instead, it guarantees your place in the selection order when the puppies are ready.

Watching Your Puppy Grow

While the puppies grow and develop, we share photo and video updates with our deposit families at key stages of development.
These updates allow you to watch the puppies explore the world, discover their personalities, and begin forming the traits that make Australian Labradoodles such beloved companions.
For many families, this stage is when the excitement truly begins.

Preparing for Puppy Day

While we raise your puppy during those early weeks, we encourage families to begin preparing their home. This includes:
Taking these steps ahead of time helps ensure a smooth and stress-free transition when your puppy finally comes home.

Choosing Your Puppy

Around 6 to 7 weeks of age, personalities begin to shine. This is when families start feeling drawn toward certain puppies.
We will happily offer guidance based on what we observe about each puppy’s temperament and the information you shared about your home and lifestyle. However, the final decision always belongs to you.
Our goal is to help you feel confident that the puppy you choose is a wonderful match for your family.

The Moment Everything Comes Together

From the first conversation to the day your puppy comes home, our process is designed to be thoughtful, personal, and exciting.

By the time your puppy is ready to leave for their new home, you will already have watched them grow, learned about their personality, and prepared your home for their arrival. And when that moment finally arrives, one thing becomes clear very quickly.

You didn’t just choose a puppy. A puppy chose you, too.

A Small Note for Families With Young Children

We kindly ask parents not to place the full decision on young children when choosing a puppy.

Selecting a companion is a big decision, and younger children may feel overwhelmed by the responsibility. The wonderful news is that children are usually thrilled no matter which puppy joins the family.
Parents making the final choice often leads to a smoother and happier experience for everyone involved.
