The Calm Heart Behind Our Red Line

Tippie, affectionately known as “Tippy,” is one of the special girls whose influence can still be seen throughout the English Manor lines today. She carries a beautiful café-colored wavy fleece coat with a warm red hue, and it is from Tippie that our red coat line first began to develop.

Structurally, Tippie has always represented one of our long-standing breeding goals. She features a shorter nose and a square, blocky head, giving her a look closer to the Labrador side of the Labradoodle lineage. This structure helped produce the adorable “teddy bear” expression many families fall in love with.
Her daughter, Sammy, even arrived looking like a tiny, chubby bulldog with that wonderfully short nose and round face. Those charming features continue to appear in later generations.
But while Tippie is beautiful, it is her personality that truly defines her legacy.

A Temperament That Defines the Line

Tippie’s nature can best be described in one word: peaceful.

Calling her laid back almost feels like an understatement. She is incredibly gentle, mild, and deeply nurturing. Around young puppies, she becomes an instant caretaker, quietly tending to them as if they were her own. Over time, she naturally stepped into the role of one of the matriarchs of the English Manor.

Her calm demeanor made life wonderfully simple. She was easy to house-train, never demanding, never stubborn, and always content simply to be close to the people she loved. Her puppies have consistently carried forward these same traits. Even generations later, we still see her gentle temperament shining through.

A Naturally Calming Companion

Dogs from Tippie’s line have proven to be especially wonderful companions for individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, or emotional challenges. They have a quiet, soothing presence that seems to help people relax without effort.
Spending time with them feels a bit like lighting a soft “relax and unwind” candle after a long day. Their calm energy settles the room, and before long, you may find yourself gently petting them until sleep comes naturally.
Tippie’s legacy lives on through the peaceful, affectionate temperament that continues to appear in her descendants.
