Where We Begin
Our journey began over two decades ago. In 2012, our dedication bore fruit when our lineage of Labradoodles was acknowledged as purebred by the Master Dog Breeders Association (MBDA). This recognition came with a transformative moment—due to the general confusion surrounding Labradoodles, the MBDA proposed a name change, and thus, the Australian Labradoodle was renamed the Cobberdog.
At English Manor, we are steadfast in maintaining the purity of our breed lines. We carefully avoid infusing American-bred Labradoodles into our program, ensuring the Australian Labradoodle’s renowned traits—those that make them exemplary therapy dogs—are preserved. Indeed, the Australian Labradoodle is the first breed in history bred specifically for therapy work, a testament to their gentle, intuitive nature.
